Crestwood Church

Crestwood Church is the sister Church of Lakeside Church and so they wanted matching websites to show that they are strongly connected. They needed a bright, vibrant website to replace their existing one that was now a few years old. After meeting with them I was able to put together a draft idea which was tweaked until it became the website you can see today!

As this website was for a Church it needed to be bright, colourful, alive but at the same time simple. With an already active online community of members I wanted to show through the website that this Church is in tune with media so I added the Facebook widget. This created a live link between the Church website and Facebook, displaying a random selection of Facebook users who have "become a fan" of Crestwood Church! Little touches like this can be invaluable to a business or organisation because they create a connection with the user and show a sense of familiarity.

Peppered throughout the site are photos of the Church members which creates a warm and friendly feel both to Church members browsing the site but also people who don't yet attend. I felt a Church website should be open and honest so using photos of the members helped to create this feeling. I wanted the Church to be portrayed in such a way that people attending for the first time will know what to expect because of having first visited the website. I am confident that this has been successfully achieved and so is Crestwood Church!
